MAY 24TH TO JUNE 5TH – A 2-week school, officially credited, on various aspects of quantum technology. We aim to provide a broader perspective, covering sensing, computing, and communication as well as quantum materials. In addition, we are planing to have lectures on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Lectures
We are aiming for around 15 lecturers giving lectures ranging from two to three hours. The exact content will vary depending on the lecturers who would accept, but we would like to have: – 4 lectures on quantum sensing – 4 lectures on quantum information – 3 lectures on quantum communication – 2 lectures on quantum materials – 2 lectures on innovation and entrepreneurship
Venue
We wanted to combine having a venue sufficiently isolated to favour interactions between the participants and enjoyable place relatively easy to access. The best location we identified so far is Espace 4 Saisons (E4S) in Orford, at the bottom of the Mont Orford. The E4S has a gym, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi, an entertainment room with board games, pool, and foosball. The restaurant is also famous for serving really good food, in addition, there are also several other restaurants in walking distance. We would take care of organizing transport from the airport, the travel time should be around 1h30.
Student engagement
We are aiming for 60 participants and have budgeted accordingly. We will be looking for sponsors from the quantum ecosystem, hopefully this will allow us to cover from additional activities or goodies.
